Tricky Tray 2013

UPDATE: The Annual St Catherine of Bologna School Tricky Tray is less than a month away!  This year we are celebrating the school's 65th Birthday with many birthday party surprises!  Here's what you need to know...

When is it?  Friday November 15th 6pm
Where is it?  Our own Parish Center
How much for tickets?
$35 Presale ticket packages are being offered ($10 savings - include 3 sheets of general prize tickets and 1 sheet of grand prize tickets)
$20 for entrance, one sheet of general tickets, dessert and coffee
How do you get tickets?
Fill out the form that came home in the white envelope or download here and send to Amy Poliey c/o Skye gr3 or email Amy for more information amypoliey@aol.com
How can you help?
DONATE!  We are collecting donations now!  And, get your donation in by Monday October 21st and you will be entered in to a drawing for a wireless speaker!  Imagine winning something before the tricky tray even starts!  Now that's lucky!
DONATE!  We need empty baskets too!
SOLICIT!  We still could use some volunteers to ask our local businesses. Contact Julie Sciaino if interested. juliekinner@msn.com
SIGNAGE!  Help Jeanmarie get the word out by placing some signs in designated spots. And clean them up when the event is over!
WRAP!  Are you a fabulous wrapper?  Can you make fabulous bows?  We will be wrapping up the prizes starting the last week of October. We will be wrapping during the day and at night. Sign up at the next HSA meeting on October 21st.
SET UP!  We will need strong people to help set up tables and chairs the night before, on Thursday November 14. Sign up at the next HSA meeting. We will also need volunteers to help set up the day of the event as well!
BAKE!  It's a Birthday party so let's eat cake!  You will receive an hour towards your service hours when you donate a birthday cake or cupcakes!  Deliver your cakes anytime during the day on the 15th.
WORK!  We need volunteers for the night of too!  We need runners and helpers and ticket sellers and 50/50 sellers. Sign up at the next HSA meeting.

Tricky Tray Update: September 19th 2013

Bakers are needed!  If you are willing to donate some time by baking for the Tricky Tray, this is a great way to earn some service hours!  The form can be located here

We're also looking for a few good men!  The night of the Tricky Tray, we need volunteers to serve as "runners" (delivering baskets to winners) and to sell raffle and 50/50 tickets.  Contact Julie Sciaino at juliekinner@msn.com to sign up.

Of course, we still need prize donations.  The Tricky Tray committee reports that they are way behind in donations when compared to past years.  This event needs prize donations to be successful!  You can drop off your donation at school or if you don't have time to shop, cash donations are always appreciated.

 

 

Donation Details:

*Each school family donation should be no less than $50.

*Feel free to buy a $50 gift card or why not re-gift an unused/upopened gift.

*Some popular past basket ideas: rainy day crafts, baking, holiday decorations, sporting goods, pet items, electronics, restaurant or store gift cards.

*No time to shop?  No worries!  Send a check in to Julie Sciano c/o Olivia grade 4 and our volunteers will do the shopping for you!

*We would appreciate any empty baskets from past winnings be brought to the school office.

Let us start out by saying that our annual Tricky Tray was a huge success!  We would like to personally thank you for supporting last year's Tricky Tray.  Through combined efforts, dedication and commitment of supporters like yourselves, we are happy to report that the event raised $21,000 last year!  Your generosity was overwhelming and the funds were applied to upgrading our school.  Due to the enormous support last year, the HSA board decided to use a small portion of the funds raised towards Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
